About Us

 Chuck Pinkalla purchased South Side Mobil in 1981 and began serving Racine in 1981 as Chuck's Mobil & Radiator. Chuck was able to establish a relationship with the neighboring community by pumping gas and checking oil as most full service gas stations of that time did. Chuck was also trained in the art of radiator repair so this gave him the opportunity to offer a service to some of the well established well respected business people of the time like Floyed Leonard founder of FLOYD'S TOWING and Jerry Hougard founder of Hougard auto parts.  These relationships would prove to be most valuable as the years went on.  Tougher regulations and self service gas stations becoming the norm made it unpractical for Chuck to continue pumping gas so Chuck decided to have the pumps and tanks removed in the early 1990s and to change the name of the business to Chuck's Radiator & Automotive ware he would focus on radiator and cooling system service.  Chuck's son Jared started to work at the shop in 1996 when he was 14 years old.  This was a great addition to the business and it continued to operate this way for many years but Jared admired his dads achievements and hade business ownership ambitions of his own so it only made sense for Chuck and Jared to form a partnership ware both of their goals could be achieved.  It was the end of an era and the beginning of a new when Chuck decided to put down his torch and partner up with Jared in April of 2006   

                                                              

As times changed so did we. Chuck's Radiator & Automotive was our new name and a complete range of car and truck repair was offered along with our expert radiator service.

With 2 generations of auto repair experience and the latest tools, equipment and reference available, we can keep your car, truck or SUV running like new. From brakes, steering, fuel injection or electrical we have the expertise to fix it right. We still are air conditioning and heater specialist along with knowing cooling systems inside and out. We sell and install Jasper remanufactured engines and transmissions and have many name brand tires, wheels and accessories available.

Fleet, Equipment and Heavy Duty maintenance and repair services are also offered.
